I have been fiddling with the RFD900 and 3dr radios. My goal is to have a laptop with the RFD900 connected to a vehicle with either a 3dr radio or another RFD900, as well as a tablet connected to the vehicle with a 3dr radio.
By installing the same firmware on each unit (no matter if it's an RFD900 or 3DR) I can get them to talk to eachother. However, the Tower app seems to have an issue with the 2.X Sik firmware and won't recognize the radio. If I install 1.9, then it will recognize the radio, but I'm not able to set a base node so I'm unable to use multiple basestations.
Can someone please help me find a solution? I'm using a mix between Mission Planner and the RFD firmware tool as each one has slightly different functions . Mission Planner doesn't like installing the 2.X firmware but will connect with it just fine after it's installed. There also is no field for Node ID in Mission Planner, even though when you hover over the Window Size field, it has a tooltip about Node ID...
