Im torn between these 3 radios:

1.   JR DSX9 MK2

2.   SPEKTRUM DX8

3.   FUTABA T8FG

Im running going to be running an octocopter with a slr camera.

I really like the telemetry on the Spektrum, but I read alot of good about the JR.

  • I've been looking to upgrade my DX6i - I've had my eye on the DX8 but currently thinking I'll switch to Futaba and the 8FG Super.

The Futaba doesn't have telemetry but I have that anyway through the Planner or the Ardustation and the Futaba handles really well as Martin notes.

Only thing holding me back is the thought of replacing all the receivers, if you don't have the legacy of another system I'd plump for the Futaba.

    Hello Gareth,

I have to say Futaba, I have been using their radios for over 18 years now, and I've never had an issue! The Futaba 8FG Super has a set of controls that sit right under the tips of your index fingers, these are great to use for the control of the servos on the camera while leaving your thumbs free on the sticks for flight control!

I think that the guys and girls at Futaba did very well with this radio!

I use the the Futaba 7C and often think of upgrading to the super! :)

    Regards

They are all great transmitters, We personally have most experience with Futaba, and have never had any problems.
