Turnigy 9-channel 2.4Ghz radio tips

If you've got one of those freakish inexpensive ($59) Turnigy 9-Ch 2.4 RC sets, you'll note that despite good hardware the firmware leaves much to be desired. One mystery is why most of them beep at you and say "switch error" when you turn them on. Fortunately, this guy has kindly done what the manual (if you even got one) fails to do: explain that all the front switches must be up and all the top switches towards the back at startup.

I know, it's insane. Fortunately, this radio can be reflashed with open source software, so maybe someday the community will make the firmware as good as the hardware.
