Turnigy 9x receiver trouble

Hi, I am currently building a QAV 250.  I have the Turnigy 9x transmitter and receiver,  I also have the Mullet Naze board (basically a cheaper Naze32 but with fewer sensors)  And when I connect the receiver to the board with the correct wire connections, it doesn't turn on when I plug in my 3s 1800Mah battery!  The board powers up and checks the motors and everything, but the receiver doesn't power up!  So I tried wiggling the cable with the positive and negative leads a bit and the LED turns on.  So I tried to arm the motors through the transmitter (I bound the transmitter and receiver before plugging it into the board)  and nothing happend.  So I tried giving it throttle and still nothing, I moved all of the sticks around and still nothing!  So I unplugged the battery and plugged it back in and the board started up checked the motors but the receiver didn't turn on.  So I tried wiggling the cable with positive and negative leads and the LED kept flashing every time I move the connector out and in.  I think the problem is that I have a faulty receiver, but this is the first time I have decided to build a quad from scratch.  Please help!

  • Also I have ordered more 1 pin cables thinking there might be a short in the positive and negative wires.
