What are typical load factors that UAVs are designed for?
I'm currently designing my UAV for a ultimate load factor of 10 which seems plenty sufficient for it's mission, surveillance.
The greatest loads I can expect are from gusts and a very bad landing. I've also given consideration to the ability to execute a 60deg banking turn at max speed. Excessive? Perhaps but still falls withing my expectations for weight. Following a prototype, I'll spend more time developing a more optimized airframe.
