UAV Roadmap

Hello UAVs learning community!

I am Badr, 3rd year mechatronics student with a strong background in electronics and machine design, I'm eager to embark on a journey to learn how to make UAVs. However, I have limited knowledge in aerodynamics. I would greatly appreciate your guidance in providing me with a roadmap to get started in UAV development.

Please share any resources, courses, or advice you think will be helpful in learning the fundamentals of aerodynamics and eventually building UAVs. This will help to make creative ideas for my Final Year Project.

Thank you in advance for your support and expertise!

  • Joining UAV clubs and communities helps gain insights and collaborations. Building small-scale prototypes and staying updated on UAV technology are encouraged. The final year project could involve creating an autonomous drone or exploring innovative designs. Emphasizing the learning journey, Badr is encouraged to enjoy the process and seek support when needed. Best of luck on the UAV development adventure. • Badr, a 3rd year mechatronics student, seeks guidance on developing UAVs despite limited knowledge in aerodynamics. The community recommends starting with aerodynamics basics: lift, drag, thrust, and wing design. Online courses, textbooks, and simulation tools like XFOIL are suggested for in-depth learning.
