uBlox GPS to APM 2.5

2

Hi guys,

I finally received my quad-C kit yesterday and I am well into the process of assembling it. However, I ran into a problem when connecting the GPS receiver (uBlox). The GPS receiver came together with a short six-pin cable which I assume is for connecting it to the APM. The GPS receiver has a six pin connector which fits the cable nicely, but the connector on the APM is only five pins! Am I using the wrong cable, was I supplied with the wrong cable, or is there some trick I haven't seen yet?

Thanks,
kolaf

  • Hey there, whats the 6 pin header type called? I have the APM 2.5 but am lacking the correct cable. Currently have molex 4 pin both ends... no good :(

  • the GPS uses only 4 pins

  • It plugs in on the side, not the top ;-)

Here's a picture (and a sneak peek of a GPS mount I made that I was going to blog about).

  • Never mind, I found the six pin connector on the APM. I was just trying the wrong hole :-(
