I just got my Pixhawk in and I installed APM planner 2.0, then connected the pixhawk, but my desktop computer won't detect it and neither will APM planner 2.0.
When I look in device manager in Windows 8, it just says unrecognized device. I tried searching for a new driver and pointing it to the APM planner folder, but it doesn't find any drivers for it.
I tried the same with a windows 8 laptop and same issue.
Any ideas?

There have been problems with the driver on the PX4 site. Please use this one
http://ardupilot.com/downloads/?did=54
You will also find the correct drivers in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Mission Planner\Driver
folder of Mission Planner
Found a way around it if anyone else has that problem in windows 8.
I downloaded the PX4 driver from the official website. I then rebooted windows 8 into the mode that allows the installation of unsigned drivers.
I was then able to manually install the PX4 driver and flash the firmware successfully on the Pixhawk.
Hello David,
I have not been able to load the firmware to my PIXhawk possibly be that the bootloader is not working. Do you know how I can upload firmware to my PIXHAWK?
thank you very much.
