Can an Xbee be connected to the system at the same time as trying to use the serial port for CLI use?

Ok. The USB is serial1 and the Xbee is Serial3.

I have the Serial3.OUT of the APM to the Sparkfun IN and visa versa correct?

From what I've experienced, if you have the XBee turned on in the code, it will NOT show serial data over USB.

Serial data goes out from APM over one or the other I believe.

You can definitely leave XBee connected while also connected to USB.

I upload code over USB, and configure over XBee.

Make sure you have it at 115200 with carriage returns turned on

Ok what I see, with or with out the Xbee attached is:

1) switch to the pins side, LEDs a/b/c walk.

no response from the Arudino serial monitor

2) With the switch forward LED A green and stable

I get a single string of text (garbage) with no menu.
