Use of NiCd and NiMH Battery packs for Planes.

I am a rookie in this field of planes and need some advice regarding the batteries. I have already worked with Li-Po batteries, with successful flights.

I have now started some research on NiCd and NiMH batteries since it is safe.

Could you all please share your experience with these batteries if any, and suggest me the better ones?

    These are the way to go. Lithium ion.

    LiFe batteries are the next big thing for RC. Higher energy density and less weight than LiPo and though they are still expensive and not rated for higher discharge rates they are getting better. By comparison NiCd and NiMH are far heavier/less energy dense die sooner and work out even more expensive.
