V2 3DR Telemetry

I have the IRIS+ which has the 915 MHz telemetry radios.   This is working great,  my question is that I also have a 450 quad that I am building and want to add the telemetry to it.   Do I need 2 more telemetry radios for this to work or can I just add the one to the new Quadcopter and sync it to the one I have at the computer.

Thanks for any help

  • You can only communicate with one at a time as far as I know.  I am pretty sure that you can run mission planner in two windows, using two ground radios talking to two different air radios at the same time.  But one ground radio will not talk to two air radios at the same time.

    • That is what I was thiinking.   I was hoping I did not need to switch between the ground receiver when I switch the copter I will be flying.  Not a big deal, but thought maybe it was like sharing one transmitter with many receivers.

      Thanks again for your help

  • Do you know how to sync both of them up then to the one module that's at the computer? Thanks
  • Just the air module on the copter.
