How do we feel about velcro as far as vibration damping ?
Rebuilding my Hexacopter again with a new APM 2.6 and compass gps up in the air...
So the question is.. Will velcro be ok for the APM to mount or will I need to use some gel of foam...
I have the foam mounting pads but I really like that gel stuff...
Thanks for your opinion...

The people at Flite Test has a clever technique. They used those foam ear plugs to mount a little platform above the deck and put the vibration-sensitive device on that.
When you roll those plugs in your fingers, they get small, then expand back out (in the holes in the plate). The foam is sort of like memory foam.
Velcro is a very poor choice. Perhaps not the poorest (plain ol' double sided tape would probably be worse), but you can do a lot better. You should spend some time studying the Vibration Damping page, which discusses ways of mounting APMs.
Personally, after trying a lot of other stuff, I'm now a big fan of Kyosho Zeal Gel Tape. It's all I use anymore.
Yeah.. Guess I'll go ahead and order some of that..
THanks
