I am looking for a radio transmitter and receiver for my APM 2.5 on my quadcopter. I am considering the Turnigy 9xr (8 channels) but am capable of spending a little more. Are the higher priced radios actually worth it? Also, there doesn't seem to be much documentation on receivers. How do I know what receivers will work with my radio and my APM chip?

A 9xr + the FrSky radio module is very nice (and cheap). It works great with APM.
