G'day guys,
I fly and shoot aerial photography not only with UAV's but also fly choppers and planes for my work.
Video is something I have been mucking around and testing for a few years. Stabilised video that is.
However, not a big market and not interested in spending thousands of dollars on PaP gimbals by DJI etc.
Want to design and build my own. Suitable to take full size DSLR
POV feature would be great from the plane or chopper as you orbit around a site.
I have grown up on arducopter and Alexmos building hexa's and quads.
But haven't been able to get a camera gimbal strong enough to withstand a bit of wind buffering or knocks from turb in aircraft.
Current setup.
CF frame
Z63-180T motors for yaw/roll/tilt
Alexmos 32 bit board
4S 4000ma battery
joystick for yaw and tilt.
Plan would be to..
a. I think twice as big motors (these ones just don't have the grunt) suggested size??
b. add pixihawk controller with GPS to set up POV feature
c. run inverted so I can put on my lap and shoot out the missing door.
d. run a remote and monitor system like my FPV so I can mount on a seat in the back.
I reckon there would be a market amongst my other aerial photography mates.
May all your gauges remain in the green
Thanks in advance and look forward to your comments and help
Craig
