Why did the quad not go to the last waypoint?

Can someone please tell me why the quad correctly auto took off at waypoint 1, flew correctly to waypoints 2 and 3 then just waited at 3? The HUD seemed to show it was waiting at 4, when the map shows it at 3?

I had to initiate an RTL to get it to return and auto land, which it did really well.

Is this me doing something wrong on the mission planner or something else?

         Ah, I can see where you got confused.  You've added a lat and lon to the final LAND command but actually a LAND command ignores the location.  It just lands at it's current location.

         So the solution is to end the mission with an RTL or a waypoint at the home location followed by LAND.

  • Sounds like you are using Version 2.7 of the APM - this was fixed in 2.8

    If you don't want to upload 2.8, then just add a dummy waypoint after the last one.
