Half of these drones use esp-07 WiFi modules, another equipped by APMN-Q551.
APMN-Q551 works much more reliable, especially in case if there are another WiFi devices around. For example, we can't use Phantom/Inspire to film our swarm flights because they jam 2.4Ghz network.

We have published BOM, schematics and all necessary for PCB here - https://github.com/ugcs/ddc/tree/master/WiFi/adapter
APMN-Q551 doesn't know about MAVLink. It's just WiFi adapter ))
this program use mavlink v1.0 or v2.0?
My esp8266 looks like using only mavlink v1.0.

And this module requires carrier board.
Total bill of material is around 100€ per adapter.
Do you find any answer about it?
I also find WiFi modules can use 5GHz. But as you know esp use only 2.4GHz.
