The original Wire Sizing worksheet was for ships with a short life span (world record setters, FPV racers, prototypes, etc). Now the worksheets has been updated to also account for Ampacity.
Ampacity takes into account the long-term life of the wire as a function of the amps going through it. Heat can degrade the wire and or coating over time.
Now in the tables,
- if the cell is blank, the wire size does meet the ampacity hurtle for the
... wire material chosen and
... the safety factor shown in that column
- if a number is shown, then the wire size passes the ampacity hurtle for that safety factor
