Wired Shutter Release

I have a Sony A7R mounted on my 3DR mounted on my X8. I have a wired shutter release cable that converts the Sony format to a miniplug. When I short the tip to the shaft of the miniplug it takes a picture.

How do I wire this to the PixHawk? All the tutorials I have found use IR signalling hardware or mechanical servos.
