I recently saw an ad for a toy quadcopter. The demo video shows a selected configuration, "X", "+". And in the demo video they say: "2 Flying Modes for Different Experiences".
I wasn't aware that there could be any performance difference in one configuration or another. Other than aesthetics why would someone pick "X" over "Y"?

I don't know why really but I find X easier to fly than + By that I mean orientation wise.
