xbee no gps

hello everyone im a bit new here so please forgive me if this has been posted allready

ok i have your 900 mhz xbees flashed to xbp09-bp verion 1061 and everything works great thanks for the great apm wiki great job their

but my problem is  no gps even after lock if i connect direct with the usb cable set the apms baud rate to 115200 everything works great gps test ok the lil plane show up i get lat and lon and all is good but if i set the the xbees to that setting 115200 connect them up they dont talk so i whent back to 57600 and they talk again and i get all kinds of cool and groovy data

except gps data i know the gps is working i know the xbees are working i am sure theirs a setting im missing or some such thing

  • Hi Jerry,

did you find anything about it?

i have the same problem, but when i connect my usb cable to the board while connected via xbee, i start seeing gps data?

    greetz

  • i only tried setting them to 115200 in xctu because with the supplied usb cable connected to the ardu at that baud rate i get all the flight data and gps data fantastic but when i set them to 57600 i get everything except gps in hks ground station it shows a lock but no coordinates apm shows nothing but the flight data

    im stumped but determined

APM is set to drive the Xbees at 57k, which is the optimum speed for those modules with minimum packet loss. If you want to drive them higher, you need to change the config setting in the APM code and load it via Arduino. Remember that the packet loss will be higher, so we don't recommend 115k for most applications.
