Zero turn rover steering

Hey guys I have a large chassis zero turn rover with ardupilot installed. I have it working fine in manual mode and can get it to follow a square pattern pretty well. What I would like instead of following the corner like a car chassis is it possible to have the rover drive to a waypoint, stop then turn on the spot to face the new waypoint then continue?I have tried the skid steer in and out settings and both make it nearly uncontrollable in manual mode.Hope to get some ideas thanks
