I would like to share our agricultural drone experiences in Africa ... wishing you all the best
And I hope that this community will be a beacon to resolve agricultural problems in Africa
The challenge
The agricultural sector is going to face enormous challenges in order to feed the 9.6 billion people that the FAO predicts are going to inhabit the planet by 2050: food production must increase by 70% by 2050
The solution
One way to address these issues and increase the quality and quantity of agricultural production is (Robotics &Drone technology) to make farms more “intelligent” and more connected through the so-called “precision agriculture and smart farming ”
We can use multirole robots that’s can perform automated cultivation and agricultural missions from the sky for planting seeds and environment measurements.
ASC- Airborne Smart Cultivator is a (robotic/autonomous) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Drone) with automated terminal (robotics arms) and high speed air to ground GPS cultivation unit for (GPS- precision agriculture) and NDVI device to Examine plant health
