Could we use a Quadrocopter to pickup high resolution still images then match these to the control points picked by GPS in the field? we could then have a viable quadrocopter aerial survey that produced a 3D textured survey via apps such as 123D catchit / photofly or Video trace etc I’m interested in people trying to do this, has the Arducopter reached a maturity for survey people to use in the field and reliably catch this information yet?
