Flight Modes report "unknown"

Stabilize & Alt Hold look like they work, but if I chose any other flight mode the HUD shows "unknown" when they are selected.

Sure wish there was some sort of Guide... or at least a wiki...

For example... the flight mode list is HUGE.   But i have no idea what half of the modes mean?

Also what does the Black line & Yellow line represent on the GPS map screen?  I understand the red line... but i am stumped on the other two.
