Verify / Upload Hangs with Arduino IDE on MinimOsd_Extra_Copter (MinimOsd_Extra_Copter_Pre_release_Beta)

I am trying to verify or upload MinimOsd_Extra_Copter_Pre_release_Beta from the svn trunk to a ATmega328 using the Arduino IDE. Every time I try to click verify or upload, it says 'compiling' at the bottom of the Arduino IDE, but never shows any err

Is it possible to only use the MinimOSD board (without the APM, etc)? In other words, I want to get rid of the 'No Mav Data!' error messages and just show the voltage from the battery.

In addition, can we step down the power from the 12VDC to the 5V
