About Me:

I am a farmer and researcher currently finishing my PhD at UNH in Natural Resources and Earth Systems Science. I also am the director of the non-profit GreenStart and the president of board for Farm Hack, an open source community for resilient agriculture(and collaborator with public lab). I am currently flying a Skywalker 1900 and bixler2 with cannon cameras running CHDK to document research plots.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

My academic work is focused on systems knowledge as the primary limiting factor in regenerative agriculture. I believe that Aerial imagery coupled with other open source remote sensing technology has the potential to change cultural understanding of local natural systems in a way similar to how the image of earth from space changed our cultural understanding of global systems.
