About Me:

I'm a retired electronic engineer, I kiddingly refer to myself as an analog guy, in a digital world. I grew up first building vacuum tube devices, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers etc. I was introduced to IC's as a sophomore in high school when Signetics sent our school a few Phased Lock Loop chips, and NE555 timers. Most of my carreer has involved largely analog devices or hybrids.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I saw an article in "Make" magazine about a GPS programmable, and inertially stabilized electric airctaft drone. I would like to amass ideas and tips on the best approach to build such an autonimous plane with remote TV camera capabilities.
