About Me:

I'm an avionics instructor with a lifelong interest in electronics, science in general, and aviation. RC is a relatively new interest, and it lead me (via the internet, of course!) to DIY Drones, UAVs, Telemetry and FPV. I have extremely limited experience with Atmel processors, and programming them in C for basic robotics applications. I was a radio amateur, but I've let my license lapse.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I'm fascinated by several aspects: automated flight, including autoland, the challenges of long(ish) RC, telemetry and video, programming accurate search patterns or sequential photography patterns. Quadrotors seem to hold tremendous untapped potential, but I think I'd like to first play with fixed wing and the Ardupilot Mega.
