Read more…So I am assuming the red wire is vcc, what are the rest of the wires hooked up to? If I use the cable on the adapter board am I safe to use 5v or do I have to solder directly the the board for that (5v vcc and ttl levels).

Read more…Can I directly connect the serial pins on an Arduino to the pins on the adapter board? I believe the Arduino uses 5v TTL and the MT3329 appears to be LVTTL. Does the adapter board handle the discrepancy, or is there more work involved?
