Cellphone UAV code now in beta, available here

In my focus on the Lego UAV, I forgot to mention that I've also uploaded the Visual Basic source code for our cellphone autopilot. It's in pretty good shape, and just needs a little more tweaking for reliable airbone use. If you're comfortable with Visual Studio and Windows Mobile, this is a great starting point for cellphone-based aerial control, communications and imaging. The code is here.

Anybody recognize where I stole the image that is on the program's opening splash screen? (Shown here on the Windows emulator. Weirdly, the emulator blocks screen shots, so I had to photography the screen. Apols for the poor quality...)

Yes, that should totally be our image! Unfortunately I don't own it and it's an unauthorized use. I'm afraid if I ask, they'l say no (or charge me a fortune)

    BTW, the source is here:

Should that image not become the image for the group??

It plainly shows that members need to be able to read and manipulate tools.

Therefore the perfect filter for those not blessed with those skills. They will see it and cry,"Its not for me, I'm off to a less demanding corner of the interweb"

It also shows the non sexist, all are welcome nature of this group.

    An including not excluding image.
  • Re. the screen-capture problem, sometimes this can be "cured" by turning off your graphics card Hardware acceleration.

Go into your Display Properties, Advanced button, Troubleshoot tab. Drag the "Hardware acceleration" slider to "None" and OK the changes. Try capturing the problem screen.

If it works, great! If not, oh well.

    Andrew.
