From News.com:
"Starting last week, the National Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian Institution is recognizing that 21st-century technology in an exhibition titled "Military Unmanned Aerial Vehicles." Pictured here in the museum are three of the six UAVs on display (from top to bottom): the RQ-3A Darkstar, the MQ-1L Predator A, and the X-45A Joint Unmanned Combat Air System. In the gallery pages that follow, we'll provide a look at all six aircraft in the field."
Chris - that's the Smithsonian on the mall in DC, not the one in Chantilly, right ? My son and I had the opportunity to visit both last summer, and the one in Chantilly (out by Dulles) is absolutely incredible - it's worth a trip cross-country just on its own merit. They apparently have a Hiller Flying Platform mothballed somewhere in Maryland waiting for restoration.
Along those lines, there's a Hiller museum up your way - www.hiller.org. Have you been there ?
