Alternative way to control Google Maps with Labview

This is a nice example of how to control Google Maps. With this Labview VI you are able to:1-Control the center Point of the Map with the desired coordinates.2-Control the Size, Zoom and the Format of the Map (terrain, hybrid, etc).3- You are able to put multiple balloons, and change color, size,, etc.4-You are able to draw paths between the center point and the balloons. You can attach multiple GPS and display the position of each with a balloon, please modify it to your needs. The bad: Is a little bit slow, depending on your internet connection.Files:Google_maps_by_Jordi.zip

  • Hey Jordi,

I was testing the vi attached and I cannot seem to add new paths.
How do I add path balloons?

    Thanks,
    Martin
  • hola jordi,
I would be interested in programing this in PHP... I know how to do it for un*x systems (serial to php etc). The user would only need to have a web server with php and a serial connection, the rest could be scripted.

Do you think this might be interesting to the rest of the users?
    VVVery cool project BTW!
  • Getting API key errors. :(
  • how can i calibrate google map. I want to used for GPS by using Labview and activeX control
  • There is a LabVIEW library for working with Google Earth:
    LabVIEW + Google Earth
How do you use your VI? To plan UAV routes?
  • Nice, just tried it out. Maybe use a shift register for the URL instead of a local variable. Don't loose the dataflow paradigm that way.
