The PIC has to monitor the system and be able to take over manual control of the aircraft at anytime. It is not mine/ours, but commonly excepted as the way to avoid other aircraft.
Section II (2) Aircraft Operational Limitations, Line G
"Aircraft shall be flown during daylight hours (civil twilight) only, under direct visual control (DVC) and within visual line of sight (VLOS) and “p ilot in command” (PIC) at all times"
Nope, they are linked off of the Reporter site. Ops and model, but working with all groups as (time permits), to try and make sure there is something for the small commercial operator. Money and time where the main limiting factors in what groups I could participate in. Face to face meeting where/are several day affairs that cost about $2000.00 dollars to attend and without staff there is no way I could support chairing a group. Next time :-)
There is nothing stopping you from posting the RCAPA policy guidelines you are proposing for civilian use are there? Also what sub-committee are you working on Patrick?
If it was that simple...I don't think they would have mandated this secrecy thing. Keep good notes...sounds like you could have a nice tell all book or 60 minutes whistleblower episode...

What is your definition of PIC?
Thanks Shawn!
