Have no knowledge of UK geography besides how to get from airport to train station, so Ceredigion, ParcAberporth, Wales & Newport mean nothing. Schiebel still has the Paris air show demo. No autonomous copters from U Know Where obviously. Got to pay off Ed McMahon's mortgage.
this is so sad. you know what kills me: my professors think this is sooo cool what i have been trying to do, but my family is like, whatever. I mean, we're builidng planes that FLY THEMSELVES..that might one day FLY YOU...but no...let's not let interested *garage scientists* (hobbiest is such a tinkerer word, like card collecting) explore their new toys because people don't care or are afriad. Imagine if Apple wasn't allowed to make computers...bah.

So I can see why they would move the event closer to London, begs the question, why not just have it in London if there is no flying.
But maybe more importantly it shows that the industry has matured enough for bean counters to just go out and have there golf weekend!!
You'd better get to know European geography Jack cos we might have the regs to allow development ;-)
We should have some sort of European sparkfun challenge or Outback Challenge. Anyone else??
Maybe its because they are playing with grown up systems there now on the airfield.
Big shame but best book tickets for 2010!!
The flying event sounds as though it is still taking place at Aberporth?
I see it as the business part removing itself from the tech part.
Guess you don't have to have the flying part, just its interesting???
Obviously MAV's will still be able to fly over the golf course but none of the big stuff!! Unless it arrives overhead.
They could be creating an opportunity though.
i pray it gets reconsidered
