As introduced previously, we've been working over the last months with Canonical to push an app store based on Snappy Ubuntu Core, the new distribution from Ubuntu that includes a marketplace where people is encouraged to put their algorithms and behaviors (even for sale).
Erle-Copter was previewed last week at IoT World as the first drone with apps and through Erle-Brain one can easily install snaps that correspond with different vehicles (Copter, Plane or Rover for now).
Besides packaging APM or ROS for the App Store, there's also many other apps that are starting to show up that add many more functionalities to the robots and drones built with our robotic brains:
Docs are available in our website that explain how to create an app step-by-step:
For those wishing to make applications using ROS we'd recommend checking these tutorials as well as the ros2snap repository.
