Antenna tracker prototype up and running

I got the telemetry and videolink azimut / elevation antenna tracker prototype up and running the other day. Here is a video of it (without antennas) when it receives ASCII commands from the test software running on my lab PC.

  • The cables are run inside the axle so the control cables are non problematic. The coax cables are looped. The controller will have logic that prevents cable jamming.
  • Jordi, care to elaborate on yoru project?
  • Do you have some logic to allow the antenna cable not to get twisted if rotated in the same direction all the time? Or a controller that is smartly tracks the turns in the cable?
    Just my 2 cents
  • Hi Jordi. The mechanics is servo city. The code is my own. I am building something modular that can accept commands from several sources.
