We are out for UAV field campaigns again. After one week of flying over sea ice of the Baltic sea in northern Finland we are now heading for Svalbard.
does the transmitter have internal heating?
use Hall sensors in sticks?
We use standard resistor-based transmitter. They are not heated internally but we try to keep them warm by storing them in the battery box during the beyond line-of-sight flight phase. We once had an issue in Antarctica where a 2.4GHz transmitter unit refused to operate at very low temperatures (don't remember the exact temp).
