Recently we discovered some of our DM volunteers did not have their throttle failsafe setup properly, so a quick tutorial was provided. We have included the video log above.
On the right, the PWM level for channel 3 for you to make any adjustments if needed. The Taranis produces 900 PWM when no pulses were sent.
Even though this was created for the Frsky Taranis, we hope others will find it useful and enough to apply the same principles on other transmitters.

I think i might have something wron with my fail safe. throttle a low stick is 982 and I have my fail safe set to 925. But then I turn the radio off Radio #1 thru Radio #8 goes to zero. But about the armed section it says land.
Thanks Dany. We have additional rule-base sound setups and sound files for download. It will be available this weekend on Episode 30 part 3 of this series. We had to wait for the 2 weeks of field testing to pass, squad feedback and now it is about ready for anyone else interested. It will be easy, following Ep. 28.
Also, thanks Bill for the contribution.
Nice work guys, I used your video to setup the mode switches, well done. since then I added playback of wave files for the mode names as well as the failsafe. I love that radio!
Dany
The most important thing to remember about settings failsafes, like RTL and LAND, is that you have tested these auto modes are working i.e you have done stabilize flight, and verified loiter and alt-hold work, then manual RTL (in that order) Then you can enable throttle failsafe and geofence (if desired)
If you enable failsafes and auto modes are not working, you will have unpredictable results, with potential crash or loss.
