  • Hi,

Being a newbie in this, I have stupid question. How do I know if ver 2.4 have been loaded in.

My situation like this, I just loaded ver 2.3.1 , connected the shield and the GPS. With the serial monitor of arduino, I was able to see the lat and long, which looks ok after comparing with google earth. Then, I notice that ver 2.4 was out, so I uploaded ver 2.4. The uploading went smoothly, no fault reported. Next I power up, LED lits up correctly, however, when I use the serial monitor to check, the initial waypoint printout still shows that it is ver 2.3. Is this normal?

    Thanks for any help.

    Regards
    YW

Try to dry hard with a hair dryer your XYZ and then apply epoxy or hot glue to the sensors so you can protect the very sensible OP-AMP against humidity....
  • HI Jordi,

Tested 2.4 with our system today, found some odd things, not sure if this is a bug or just my system.

First, set .h to copy from 2.3.1, uploaded code, reset, and off we went...

or so i thought, had a very odd thing happen, ailerons went hard over left (again), stabilization was refusing to react, thought, here we go again....
After about 15 mins of scratching....decided to re-test 2.3.1, same thing....turns out that damp is affecting all my sensors!!!!!

dried them out and it all worked again...walked out to the runway, took off, AP on, started to fly then teh hard over left death spiral....again....obviously this is not a 2.4 error, just our god awful british moist damp 'orrible weather...

but , my throttle preasure sensor is reading strangly...now reads -276 on 2.3.1 it read -3 to 0

Go back to 231, and it reads 0 again, 24 back to -276, any ideas?

    regards,

    Mike.
P.S ..was looking forward to really trying this new version, but our weather foiled us...
