Our ArduStation MEGA boards arrived today and I am truly excited to see how they work. Now starts small assembly job for them and then we can start doing testing for those.
Big thanks for Colin for his original ASM work, it's great to see what great minds can create.
New boards looks just awesome. Few connectors are missing but those are quickly soldered. These boards are from the first batch and we have them now small qty in stock. If there are any changes that needs to be made, we will do it and then first production batch will come.
Technical specs:
- MCU: Atmel 2560 with Atmel 8u2 USB "adapter"
- XBee footprint for telemetry with external pins
- IO: Buzzer, Analog, I2C, GPS
- SDCard holder for storage needs
- 128 x 64 pixel Graphics LCD
- 3 x TTL Serial output pins
- 2 x Servo outputs with internal/external power feed
- Encoder port for menus etc use
- Connection for I2C Keyboard
- 4 x LEDs for showing different statues

Colin you have not get your ASM board yet?!? I will check from our shipping people why not as I asked them to send one to you several months ago. Time to kick some butt again :)
Not entirely sure which version off the top of my head. I think it's pre Due. Perhaps from a couple of months ago. The main thing is that it is a fresh install without the APM libraries present, but with the glcd library
Colin: What version of Arduino IDE are you using to compile your code? I have 1.5.2 loaded as I'm using if for a DUE based project at the moment.
Don't know if you mean the pins didn't work because of the code? I don't know if Jani changed the pin numbers from my original ASM. He still hasn't sent me one to do testing with, hence why I've slowed down any progress on updating the code.
As I don't have an antenna tracker the code I wrote is not tested, but it sounds like you've made some progress on that :-)
I am on holiday until September so can't look at code for a bit, but it would be good to see what you've done. Maybe I can merge it into my code on github.
Not sure what you mean by a clean ardustation Pde without changes tom... I wrote it from scratch, although I did borrow a few chunks of code here and there - like with the rotary encoder from Michael Smith

Yes, it would be nice to have a clean ArustationMega.pde that would not require all of Colin's changes to be able to compile.

Can you explain the antenna tracking pins issue a little more? Maybe a pic? Was it a matter of getting the ardiuno code to match the hardware pins used for the antenna tracking? What version of Arduino IDE are you using to compile with?
I'm just about to jump into getting my ASM up and running also.

I used https://github.com/cgwood/ArdustationMega for base of my own version of software, and added some mods for 3DR radio signal strength. If someone is interested, i can also share the moded code, but be warned - the antenna tracking pins are changed (i don't know, why, but the default pins does not worked for me, and i must re-solder the tracks).
I would like to buy ASM 1.5 and need do some software mods on it, because of continuous pan option requirement.
Can somebode here point me where the sources could be found? When I checked it on canadadrones.com there

But I feel bit like fool - there on Project home tab there is one note:
This code will not work on Ardustation Mega. This code is compatible only with the original Ardustation with ATMEGA328.
Perhaps canadadrones have wrong informations or am I missing something?
