    It looks like it still is using the osg56 so. The other Ubuntu user was running maverick.
  • After updating my ubuntu to 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx, and I am sad to say that it does not work too.

    I got this output :

    ScicosLab-4.4b7

    It looks like a problem with openscenegraph. You will need to upgrade to a newer version of ubuntu or help me figure out which part of the code is causing the issue and make it compatible. It looks like something to do with osg stateset to you could try to comment out code that deals with stateset and see what is breaking it. It could be something like the transparency setting etc.
  • yes, I am on ubuntu

    In the gdb terminal type backtrace and show me that output. You are running ubuntu right? Someone else got this running on maverick so it is odd that you are having problems.
  • The output is as follows:
    Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
    0xb1bab007 in std::uncaught_exception() () from /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6

    Sorry: sudo apt-get install gdb
  • Developer
    You will need to sudo apt-get gdb. After you run scicoslab -debug, gdb will start, then type run at the prompt.
