I have a winter student doing a blimpduino as a project. So far we have it out of the box and running the default beacon finding code with no problem. I am having the student go through the project as an opportunity to learn about microcontrollers, programming, navigation etc. If you want to follow our progress, you can look at: mtsacflight.blogspot.comThere are flight videos and more.
i am new to DIY and have decided to use Blimpduino for my autonomous flying robot project. I would like to know how i can integrate wifi onto it in order for me to transmit and receive from a ground station(which will send commands to the blimp)
No, they are looking at your code as they work. Since they have no experience working with microcontrollers, I think that dissecting and understanding this project gives them exposure to a large number of topics in robotics and control theory. We will see how the project evolves.
Thanks again!
Cool to see their learning process, but why are they reinventing the wheel and writing code from scratch? Is part of the class rules that they can't start with our code?
