Word around the camp fire is that DJI is releasing a new 2nd Generation Phantom. No word on how the 2nd Gen version may differ but customers that have bought a DJI phantom BEFORE 09/09/13 will get $150 credit on the new 2nd Gen Phantom OR the new Phantom Vision (valid until 31 dec 2013). Also, Gen 1 Phantom's price will be reduced. Release date is aimed at November for both products.

How much of a price break on the original?
Hi guys, I had to wait for Sept 9th to speak about the price cut (Official DJI dealer) but yes, price cut is official as well as the $150 credit toward a Phantom 2 (late November release plan) or Phantom vision (no release date on the vision) for customers who bought a Phantom v1 or v1.2 BEFORE Sept 9th.
All this is subject to change of course and is dictated by DJI. I hope you got your Phantom from an authorized dealer because the shady dealers may not offer that credit.
A from including your Phantom serial number, dealer name, date purchased will be required to get your credit.
Send it to your dealer and he will organize the rest.

Buy every 6 Months new apple and Dji stuff - that is what I call a concept of $$$$$. That 3drobotics Iris stuff will have a hard time with that DJI marketing machine.
