    can u share the arducopter parmas file for this frame. i would like to know the roll and pitch PIDs for this frame. my quad is not taking the auto tune command. i have exactly the same frame and 1806 2300 KV motors.

    I started the FPV 250 racing thing. I bought a ready to fly drone for 379$ + 70$ shipping. 5 days later I started having lots of fun!! http://www.helipal.com/storm-racing-drone-rtf-type-a.html

    That does not include the gazilion spare props I bought and batteries.

    The only thing not included was the 7in monitor + receiver that I already have. 

    I will try the batterie at the bottom of the drone. Right now it's winter and I have to be careful when I land.

    OpenPilot released a new version a few weeks ago to improve usage on mini quads so I hope it will perform very well.

    @technicus acityone : Yes it is still possible to reduce the bill. I've never tried KK boards.

    For the cam I already ordered the FPV cam you indicated to see how it works and also this one :

    Wooden frames are also nice and easy to repair.

    @Gary McCray : Sure no problem.

    @mP1 : I don't agree with you concerning the frames. You can find very good cheap frame. I personnaly crashed some times with this frame and noting broke yet.

    Yes it costs me less than $250 and I don't agree with you about the price. If you start from scratch it will cost you more but I thought I was clear at the begining of the post.

    Hi Gotleg,

    Great Build article.

    I think this is a very good little copter for FPV flying in general, not just racing.

    And it's small size and light weight make it safer than the bigger ones.

    I'm going to link to it from my dronesarefun.com web site if that is OK with you.

    It should be very popular with many of those who would like to make their own, but want a small copter.

    And I think small, light, relatively non-dangerous quadcopters are the least likely to be legislated out of existance.

    These little guys are the future.
