Clone planes?

Its called private label manufacturing, some company that no one has ever heard of make a product (could be great quality or poor quality, you never know). They offer offer the product with customizations (custom decals, paint and manuals) for multiple retailers who sell the product as their own. It is very common and exists in every product category.

There are hundreds of companies that sell LCD TVs but I believe there are only something like 6 factories that make the actual LCD screen part. The drive electronics will need to be very close to the same and often are. The big companies Samsung, Sony etc.. will make their own but smaller companies will just buy the standard boards or simply copy the standard electronics (same schematics custom layout).
