Crowd Sourcing Disaster UAS Use

Hello all. As I have stated in here in the past, I have a particular interest in the use of UAS in the field of disaster relief operations. With a background in both emergency services and RC aircraft, I am in a unique position to see, and act from both sides. Last summer, and into the fall, I provided information, demonstrations, advice, and feedback to area emergency response officials. I have also been working with a small group of wildland firefighters in an attempt to develop or source a backpack portable aerial surveillance platform to allow real-time just-over-the-hill data to commanders preparing to move their companies.

In an effort to help me continue my research and outreach, and to hopefully expand out to more groups, larger areas, and into possible production of systems, I have started a crowd sourced funding campaign. I have used the GoFundMe platform, as it allows ongoing funding of projects as opposed to an all-or-none approach in a limited number of days. The amount I am asking for would allow me to continue working on this project, nearly full-time, for one year. I will continue what I am doing, regardless of whether I am crowd funded or not, but help from you would help me to devote more time and effort into this project.
