Drone in Disaster Area...

Today one of our team (seribubintang) helping Center for Research and Technology Volcanoes Development (BPPTK) to monitor Volcano activity in Sinabung mountain North Sumatera. No aircraft can fly in this area since the dust from the eruption all over the air.

  • thanks michael... this is still beta testing on the field. But the drone visual really help monitoring the volcano. Next step is gaining more flight time and put some sensor on it... so far no drone injured :)

  • Good luck with your work and recovery from the eruption.

    Sounds like a perfect opportunity for UAVs.  I hope that they all make it home too.
