Eaglewing FPV 1500mm (ARF)

eaglewing-19337.jpg

The Eaglewing has been designed specifically for FPV and as you would expect for an FPV platform, there is a generous wing area coupled with a pusher motor configuration. The large canopy you would also expect, but the clever part is that it can be configured in a variety of ways to suit your FPV equipment, with a large clear over-canopy that can be cut to the desired size.

Specifications:
Wingspan: 1500mm
Length: 980mm
Flying Weight: 960g

Price: US$ 49.99 / 57.20 (USA) - Prices might vary depending on your Hobbyking membership level

  • I liked the looks of this plane but have been struggling with for two weeks trying to get it to fly.  It does a power-off glide (sluggishly) but application of power pushes the nose down and drives it into the ground.  My conclusion is that the combination of  high motor thrust angle and low-lift symmetrical wing is the problem.  I have tried it with a Radian wing with much better results.  Others have reported success using a Skywalker wing.  Unless you are willing to do something like that do not buy it.  It ticks me off that manufacturers and vendors think it is ok market something like this with apparently no testing and no customer support.

  • I read the RCG thread for this last week only to be very disappointed. Apparently the wing profile is not right and it consequently doesn't fly well - loves to stall! As it says on RCG it is a pity because its a great layout. If they can sort the wings out it would be a winner for me but as it stand - nah....

  • Product updates are nice and all, but I'm getting rather tired of seeing Hobbyking affiliate links every other day. It's not so much blogging as it is tasteless advertising.

  • you forget this one dude!
