EZ430-Chronos as Telemetry system

Hello,
Some month ago TI developped a watch based on there super low current 430 ic,
in it you can find a µc, a triple axis accelerometer, a pressure sensor, and a 868Mhz RF chip with antenna.
they also give the sdk for cooking custom apps...

And all of this is sold ... 50$...

Pretty cool, except that I had to wait 3 month to have one...

Maybe I'm not the first to do this, but I added a variometer function to the altimeter module and to the RF module to be able to send the vario Data to the computer ;)

I'll try to make a video of this ;)

  • Waiting for the earplug with the 9 DOF IMU & the recurrent neural network guidance system.
  • The Amber item looks similar to the eZ430-RF2500. But at the Chrono freq. Cool.
I was thinking of using the the USB Dongle that came with the Chrono. It has the CC1111F32. A few solder points are available at the bottom of the pcb. But eitherway, I would love to get it working from the dongle to the Chrono. I have a Chrono on order. Gotta check to see when it is going to arrive.
  • TI Serial-RF module? I gotta look that up. Not familiar with it.
  • that is an excellent idea,
for doing this you need a TI Serial-RF module plugged to your drone brain.
  • it would be nice to have data sent to the other way. Data sent to the watch, so you can actually have data like voltage, temp and so forth sent to the watch screen.
