German IT news said that "Google intends to fulfill the current contracts with the military but has no intentions of becoming a defense supplier."
Which probably means that after WildCat is done, Boston Dynamics will develop from about the coolest robot guys on the planet into yet another boring and suspicious Google subsidiary.
Don't know if Google buying them is a good or bad thing but BigDog and that running whatever-the-heck-it-is thing pictured are pretty darn cool. I hear Google is pretty de-centralised so maybe they will just give BostonDynamics more money to do fun stuff with..we can only hope.
